SEMI: Global semiconductor equipment shipments reached $32.05 billion in Q1, a year-on-year increase of 21%


According to the latest Global Semiconductor Equipment Market Report released by the Semiconductor Industry Association (SEMI), the global semiconductor equipment shipment amount reached 32.05 billion US dollars in the first quarter of 2025, a year-on-year increase of 21% and a month on month decrease of 5%.


SEMI President and CEO Ajit Manocha said, "The global semiconductor equipment market has made a solid start to the first quarter of 2025, reflecting forward-looking investments in future chip manufacturing capacity in various regions. As the artificial intelligence boom continues to drive wafer fab expansion and equipment sales, the industry has shown resilience despite facing uncertainty in geopolitics, tariff fluctuations, and export controls

According to the quarterly shipment data divided by regions, Chinese Mainland's shipment of US $10.26 billion ranked first, and South Korea and Taiwan, China ranked second and third.
